While our director, Mrs. Myle Nguyen, began offering private piano lessons in Orange County in 1978, Westminster Music School was officially established at its current location in the Edinger Center in 1981. Since then, we have had the privilege of guiding thousands of students in their music studies and are proud and excited to see the enrollment of the second generation, some of whom are the children of our former students.
Here at Westminster Music School, we have combined the best of both European and American methods of piano pedagogy--an approach that has proved successful over the years. We also recognize the need to take into account each individual student's learning styles as well as their intellectual and psychological developmental stages. . Our teachers adapt a one-on-one approach that allows each student to learn and grow at their own pace and capacity. Furthermore, our faculty is trained to take the same approach so that students may seamlessly transition from preparatory to advanced levels.
